Please Help! Articulate No Longer Working!
Apr 23, 2012
I’m having a problem where the Add-In tab no longer appeared. After doing some research, I did some troubleshooting (made sure the Add-In wasn’t disabled, etc) I ended up reinstalling Articulate presenter.
This made the Articulate Add-In reappear again, but now I can an error message when I select any of the options from the Articulate menu other than Publish.
Most of the menu selections give the error “The macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your security settings.” Specifically, this results from selecting Record Narration, Import Audio, Sync Animation Timings, Timeline Audio Editor, Insert Flash Movie, Insert Web Object, Insert Web Object, Attachments, Player Template Builder, Library Options, Help (even Help is broken!), and About Articulate Presenter.
If I select Slide Properties Manager, or Quizzes and Learning Games, I get the error message: “Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found.”
The other issue is that when I reinstalled, it took my Articulate version from 5.4 to 5.0. I only have the installation software for 5.0, and for some reason the “Check for Updates” results in yet another error.
I’m at a loss because now I can’t insert any of my updated quizzes or Flash movies. Can anybody help?!?

Hi to everyone!
I have the same issue. It would be great to share the solution.
Thanks!
Hi Ciccio, welcome to Heroes!
I'd recommend you submit a case of your own, as this issue may be system-specific. Our support staff will be happy to work with you to get this resolved. Thanks!
Thanks Peter! I have fixed it. The Microsoft security update (KB2598041) for Office 2007 prevented AP5 to work properly. Next time I will read your support pages more carefully before to post a message.
I have appreciated your prompt response. Thanks.
Ciccio
Excellent! Glad to hear it, Ciccio, and thanks for checking back in.
