I don't know if you can help with THIS...
I am two days behind a deadline because I had to update some files and in the process lost all of my audio. I'm not sure how to get it back without having to individually add them again. All I did was make the changes and saved the file with an addition on the name of v.2. I don't know if that disassociated the audio or not, but I don't have any. I have 9 modules that were supposed to be done on Tuesday. 30 minutes worth of changes... grrr...
If you can help me with that, I can come off of the roof!

Hi Sonya -
Do you see an -old.ppta file in your folder? If you do, you can easily reconnect it with your PowerPoint file to restore your missing audio. Here’s how:
As long as the PowerPoint file and the original ppta file are in the same folder and have the same name, they'll re-link and your audio will be restored.
If that doesn't help, open a support ticket with us so we can take a closer look.

Hi David!
ChristineHendrickson responded to an email I sent before I was able to log into theforum (password issues… not a good day) and gave me other advice thatunfortunately did not work. I just told her that YOU helped me.
I’d actually already tried the steps below (found them onthe internet) and it didn’t work BUT I decided to go back to an OOOOOLD pptafile and it reconnected.
Thank you!
Well that's good news all around! It's not often I out-solution Christine so my day is going very well, now
Seriously, I'm glad that helped. Did you determine the cause of the lost audio? External drive? USB drive? Renaming files?
I'm not sure if you did this, but don't use periods in your file names v.2... I usually use underscores v_2 or just v2 .... but never periods :o) Sorry if it's a Mr. Obvious tip!
