Presenter '09 crashes when trying to preview or publish
Sep 19, 2011
Earlier this year I published a multi-module course with attached mp3s without a problem. I have authored a new course and am now crashing when when I try to either preview or publish. The first file has 3 slides with 3 imported mp3s. It will play 2 but then crashes on the third either in preview or publish. I tried to publish another file that had a larger audio on the first file and it crashed on that. I have been in touch with support who suggested re-installing but I still am crashing. Haven't heard back from support and getting stressed about that. Have a deadline.
By the way I created a "dummy" file with several blank slides. It previewed without attaching the audio but crashed with the audio attached. Any ideas? (I am toying with the idea of de-authorizing the computer Articulate is installed on and installing it on another computer that has PPT and seeing if hardware is the problem).

Hi Marcus & welcome to Heroes,
Since the issue appears to be related to your audio setup, install the following codec packs:
K-Lite Codec Pack Full (accept all default installation options):
http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm
Media Player Codec Pack (deselect toolbar options during installation):
http://www.download.com/Media-Player-Codec-Pack/3000-13632_4-10749065.html
After that, restart your computer & try to publish again. If you continue to have problems, please uninstall and reinstall Flash Player by using the method below:
*******Please do the following in Internet Explorer.
Uninstall your current version of the Flash Player. Follow the steps here:

Download the latest version of Flash:

If you continue to have issues after restarting your machine, please let me know.
I've done everything mentioned above and problems persists.
Hi Marcus,
Can you tell me what anti-virus software you have installed? It sounds like it may be interfering with the publishing process.
Trend Micro Client/Server Security Agent version 16
Hi Marcus,
It sounds like your anti-virus software is blocking the publishing process. I'll send you a private message with information on file types and directories that you can allowlist.
