Restricted Navigation does not work in HTML5 in Chrome 30.0.1599.6
Oct 11, 2013
I am using a free trial of Articulate Studio 13, Presenter. I am opening a power point that I have previously published in an earlier version of Presenter.
In the Player configuration, under the Menu Settings, I set Navigation Restriction to "Restricted", which should prevent users from clicking ahead to future slides, but allow clicking back to any previous slide.
In Flash it seems to work fine, the user cannot click forward to a slide that hasn't been viewed yet.
In the HTML5 version, presentation_html5.html in any browser, it does not prevent me from clicking ahead to future slides in the presentation.
Is this a known limitation of html5, or is there something else I should be doing?

are you referring to the "next" button or using the menu on the left?"
I am referring to clicking on the menu on the left.
The "next" button seems to work fine, preventing me from advancing until I finish the current slide, but allowing me to advance if I go back to a previous slide.
That's true (indicated on one of articulate's support pages).
For our courses, we edited the default index html5 lms file to remove the menu and replace it with a note indicating menu is disabled on a tablet (and timer for that matter).
Hi Dan,
I'm not sure if this is the tutorial Tom was referring to, but about halfway through it discussing the different options to restrict navigation.
