Resume where left off not working

Apr 08, 2013

I have enabled my course to resume where left off  by making the change to the player template but when I verified that the content always starts playing from the beginning.  The content is saving information to the LMS about slides viewed but does not appear to be using the information when a previous attempt is resumed.  What can I do to fix this?

Hi Seleta,

Are you finishing the requirement for the course and then returning, by any chance? If that's the case, please take a look at the following article:

Articulate Support > Resume may not work as expected after meeting completion requirements

If that doesn't resolve the issue, would you mind testing your course in SCORM Cloud? This would help us determine if the issue is Articulate related or if it's on your LMS's side. If you're using AICC content please take a look at the article below for testing information:

Articulate Support - Testing AICC content at SCORM Cloud

If it appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on.

If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team.

The articles here and here may also help clear up common LMS issues.

Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks!

Hi Seleta,

We don't have access to the files that are uploaded to SCORM Cloud, unfortunately. If you'd like to send it to us, we'd be happy to check it out.

Please create an Articulate Presenter package by following the steps in the following article:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package

Attach the .ZIP file to the second page of the following form:

Submit a Support Case

Please be sure to include a description of your issue and also include the URL for this thread in the case. Also, if possible, please share the case number with me, so I can follow up with you in this thread. You're welcome to share the case number in this thread, or send it to me in a private message.

Thanks!
