Running Studio '13 on a Mac?

Feb 18, 2014

Hi there,

I'm trying to justify buying Articulate Studio '13 but can't seem to find any confirmation that it works okay on Mac. I know there's an article about running Quizmaker '09 with Parallels, but can find nothing on the '13 version.

Is Parallels the best option or would Boot Camp be better? Is Studio '13 guaranteed to work on Mac?

I recently installed "Parallels for Mac 9" and then installed Windows 8 (32-bit version - not 64 bit version - per Articulate instructions) and then the Windows MS Office (MS Office for Mac will not work), the Articulate Studio '13.  It works well, and does not seem to slow down the computer.  With Parallels, I can switch from Mac to Windows with just a click.  Big investment however - by the time you add up all the installs.  My husband loaded exactly the same stuff on his laptop and has had some problems with Articulate - haven't yet discovered if the problem is with the Articulate install or with the Parallels.  Hope this helps.

Just for clarification. My understanding was that the 64-bit version of the OS was OK, but the Office version should be 32-bit. Am I mistaken? (Eventually, I'm probably going to move to Mac only, but my Windows machine turned out to be OK so I'm working with it just for Articulate products).
