SCORM 1.2, Moodle 1.9.12+ and updating grade

Jan 19, 2012

Hello,

I have SCORM 1.2 package that I created in PowerPoint with Presenter and it has a Final Exam at the end.  I'm using this package in Moodle 1.9.12+ and wanting to get the highest grade a student gets.  They have unlimited attemps and no time limit.  The first attempt they make, the score is transfered to the Gradebook no problem.  All the attempts after are not replacing the grade of the item and also Moodle is not recording all attempts after.  Am I missing a setting, is this a Moodle bug?  I tried looking everywhere...

Thank you for any help,

Pierre

Hi Phil,

I did the update but it didn't fix the issue.  I did the update to the SCORM as specifed in the link provided and also made sure that I was set to unlimited and highest grade.

The grade is pass the first time but not  updated in the gradebook if the user attempts another time to get the higher grade. It's not even registring in SCORM package that a second attempt was made.  Very strange behavior.

If you have any other recommendations, please feel free.  Thanks for your time, much appreciated.

okay, feeling a little stupid over here.  But I've learned my lesson.  I had the option Student skip content structure page set to Always. So the user was not able to "Start a new attempt".  I thought everytime you clicked on the SCORM Package link it started a new attempt but it doesn't.

All is well and really loving the Articulate/Moodle/SCORM integration. It works for what our needs are.

Cheers,

Pierre
