Slide Outline and Navbar not showing with Flash Movie
Aug 26, 2014
I have a presentation in which I placed a flash movie I had made. The movie is the first slide to appear, and it doesn't have the standard slide outline or navbar. There's a pause button in the bottom right but where there should be an "expand" buttton for the UI, there is nothing. All of the settings I have seem to be correct - I've checked to make sure that Slide Outline and Navbar were both checked as visible/included, but it doesn't seem to matter.
If it helps, when I load a preview of the slides AFTER the movie (that is, if the movie isn't included in the slides being processed for preview), the player UI shows up just fine. It's only when the movie is in that the UI disappears, and continues to remain disappeared for the entire presentation.

Hi Frank! What version of Studio are you utilizing? If you added the file as a flash file, then this would be independent of your slide timeline.
I found the issue - apparently, somehow the slide properties override for the first slide was overriding for EVERY slide... I changed the view for the first slide and everything else worked fine.
Glad you got it figured out, thanks for sharing your update and solution with everyone
