Text rainbow

Sep 10, 2014

I am getting this odd rainbow effect on text on some (but not all slides). I only see it in preview and published form, not in PPT. I have tried to rebuild the slide from scratch a few times and keep getting the same thing each time. Tried to remove the animations, give it a white background, change the font color, change the linespacing, etc. Thought about moving the text to an image, but that's not good for future editing and just seems wrong.

Hi Mike!

You may find that some text boxes are unexpectedly filled with colors or gradients in your published output.

This is a known issue. It'll be fixed in the next update for Presenter. In the meantime, here's how you can correct it:

  1. Open the affected presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. On any slide, add a new rectangle shape and fill it with a solid color, then drag it off the slide stage.
  3. Right-click the rectangle you just added and select Set as Default Shape.
  4. Save the presentation and close PowerPoint.
  5. Go to the following folder on your computer and delete everything in the folder:

    %appdata%\Articulate\Articulate.Presenter\Cache001
  6. Republish your presentation.
