Tracking by Slides Viewed - how does it trigger if the slide is viewed?

Aug 30, 2016

Hi there!

I'm trying to figure out how the tracking works, if you track by slides viewed. I have a short course (3 slides) and set tracking to set status to complete if 3 of 3 slides were viewed. However, when I test on Scorm Cloud (and also in our LMS of Cornerstone OnDemand), it shows as incomplete even when I view all 3 slides.

Any ideas on how the system confirms that a slide is viewed? Is it when the Next button is pushed, when the slide is loaded, etc?

Thanks!

Chris

Hi Chris,

The slide is considered viewed once the user is actually seeing the slide and has landed on it. So pretty immediately upon the slide loading. So you set your tracking completion by slides viewed - on a standalone Presenter course? Are there Engage/Quizmaker items also included? Do you have an exit button also included? If so, please take a look at this article.
