Video controls on flash movie objects inserted in presenter?

I would like to give my users playback controls to pause/restart/stop a video that I'm inserting as an .flv into an existing presenter course, yet when I add the movie in with Presenter it does not include playback controls. Using the overall presenter playback controls does not work (perhaps because of the way I have the video configured to play independently of the slide?)

Can someone point me to where I can read more about using videos (talking head expert stories) within presenter? And/or let me know if this is even possible. I have the feeling the answer is either A) something exceptionally simple or B) that flash movies can't use playback controls for some <mumble mumble technical> reason.
