Video Encode Crashes - Help?

I am trying to convert 5 wmv files to the flv format using Video Encoder. The videos range from 55-148 MB each. I've been able to convert two files - 58 MB and 77 MB  - to the large format.

However, when I try to convert the others, the program crashes. This isn't the first time I've tried to use this product, and the last time I tried to convert 2 videos, each of the same size, one converted without issues while the other didn't. I had to get my IT department to help.

Are there any known issues or bugs I need to know about? I've been publishing on my local drive - anything else I should do?

I'm ready to give up on this product and go with something that is more reliable.
