Video volume

I've got several flash videos already imported into the course, and now that I've added narration to the rest of the slides, the video volume plays way too high.
I think the level of the narration is good. I have checked the 'optimize audio volume' in Presentation Options.
Is there any way, short of removing and reloading the videos, to address this?
I've been searching the community for an answer to this one - a few people have the opposite problem (video sound too low) but I haven't seen a reply

Hi Carol,
If the videos were made from within Flash and the volume is too high, you should be able to adjust the volume by modifying the videos in Flash. I know this isn't the route you're wanting to take, but it may be the most effective for you. If you no longer have access to Flash, you could always try using Articulate's Video Encoder, which is currently available for a free trial. If you haven't already, you may want to take a look at our tutorial on Adjusting a Movie's Volume, Brightness, and Contrast.
Thanks,, Christine! I did go back to Vedeo Encoder, which I already have. Not only did that do the trick on volume adjustment (-45%) but it let me publish to .flv, which files were much smaller and more easily uploaded to the website we needed to post on.
Good morning Carol,
Wonderful! I'm very happy to hear that worked out for you Thanks very much for the update, I appreciate it.
I hope you have a great day. Good luck with the project!
Hi,
We have received a video clip from a supplier that is not that great but useable, we would like to adjust only a PART of the clips volume, is this possible as only about 40 seconds out of the 5 minutes needs adjusting?
Hi El-Mare,
Using the volume adjuster within the Video Encoder will adjust for the whole video clip.
