Videos not Playing in Published Articulate Course
Jul 10, 2014
Hello,
I am having some problems with videos in Articulate Presenter '13. I originally inserted MP4's, but they would not play. I found in the forum that this is most likely an issue with the MIME type on the server,
http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter-09/mp4-videos-require-a-mime-type-on-your-server-to-play-properly. I have put in a request to have this changed but it will take a few weeks to go through the CRS process, approval, testing, etc. (I work in a government organization).
In the meantime, I had the MP4's coverted to flv because this training need to be released ASAP. I re-published the course... encountered the same problem... the videos are not playing. I checked the published course folder and realized that the flv videos had been converted back to MP4's.
Does anyone know of a way to not convert the videos to MP4's during the publishing process??
Thanks for your help.

Hi Amanda and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
Presenter '09 will allow you to add .mp4, .swf, and .flv files. You can check out this tutorial if you would like to read more about this.
Would utilizing .swf assist you?
