Web Object - After playing can it return to next slide?

Aug 25, 2016

I have inserted a web object on the next to the last slide in Presenter. The web object goes out to Survey Monkey. I have it set it up to Display in Slide.

Once they complete the survey, I want to come back to the last slide in the presentation. Is this possible?

Hi Diane-

Thanks for reaching out here! Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding at all- when the web object is set to Display in Slide, they should still have access to the player's next button to continue to the last slide once they complete the survey. Were you trying to set it up so that it would automatically advance to the last slide without the user hitting next once they complete the web object survey? I'll have to defer to the community for ways to accomplish this if that's the case.

It might be helpful if you share your presenter package here to better see your setup. You can add it as an attachment in a comment right in this thread. I also highly encourage you to reach out in our Building Better Courses forum as well-  it's the best resource for creative design-oriented questions and advice. :)

Thanks for your response Ali,

I've tried a few things since I saw your response. I was trying to stay away from putting the NEXT button on the slide. I didn't want the viewer to be able to skip the survey. If I leave a next button on the slide, it will allow them to skip the survey.

I realized once the survey was gone, I was left with an empty player. So, I thought if I place the object over  the slide it would play the web object then when that was over the items below would be exposed. No that didn't happen.

I also tried changing the slide properties to automatic. Still just an empty slide once the survey is completed. I would like to send you the package I created. But, I would prefer to NOT post it online. Can you send me an email address? Thanks

Hi Diane- I'll have to defer to the community for ideas on how to accomplish what you're looking to do. Hopefully someone will be able to chime in with some helpful insight. I would also suggest reaching out in our Building Better Courses forum- lots of great ideas and tips floating around there as well as folks with a wealth of design knowledge and expertise! :)
