Web Object Error
Aug 30, 2012
Hi Everyone,
I'm working on two very simple modules, each contains an embedded link to a recorded webinar. I’ve used the web object function to embed the link to play within the slide. Everything was working fine when I had the SME review the modules/webinars. Now all of a sudden, the web object is not playing at all, and I get this error:
“To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.”
I did some searching around on the forums here and found this reference to this problem “Many websites like Google don't want their content in a frame. So, they change the "x-frame-options" tag to DENY to prevent that.”
It appears the website that I was using in my link changed their tag. Is there any way around this setting so I can get this to work? I would rather not have the users open the link in a separate browser window if at all possible.
Here’s the link to one demo:

Here’s a link to the web page that I’m embedding:
http://webcast.askjan.org/process/
Thanks!
Melanie

Sorry, Melanie. I'm not aware of any way around it unless you have access to the publishers of the content that has been configured with X-frame options. Is that a possibility?
Thanks for responding Peter. I figured there wouldn't be a way around it, but had to ask.
Thanks!
Sure thing. Good luck
