Hi Amy and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Previously, Presenter '13 would compress the video in your published output. Please note that now you have this option:

  • Do not compress video at publish: Mark this box if you don't want the video to be compressed in your published output. It may increase video quality, but it'll also result in larger files. (This feature is only available for MP4 videos created with baseline, main, or high profiles.)

You can read more about this in this tutorial. Be sure that you are utilizing the latest update.

Otherwise, perhaps the community can share some of their best practices with you.

Hi!

It depends a bit on how you are going to use the video.

There is a guideline page of pixel resolutions for Presenter '09 (and Engage '09 and Quizmaker '09) at: http://community.articulate.com/downloads/p/773.aspx, however I can't find a similar page for the Studio '13 release. This is probably because you can change the size of the Player, though having a job aid with percentages would be nice.

If you are using Engage '13, you may find this page of maximum resolutions useful: http://www.articulate.com/support/engage-13/maximum-dimensions-for-media-in-articulate-engage-13

Hope this helps,

Tom
