when recording in presenter there is no sound being recorded

If I recall correctly, you're using Presenter '13, right?

If you're unable to record narration in Articulate Presenter, confirm that your PowerPoint presentation is located on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external USB drive can cause erratic behavior.

If the issue persists on your local hard drive, see if you're able to record via PowerPoint:

• PowerPoint 2013: Go to the Insert tab, click Audio, and choose Record Audio.
• PowerPoint 2010: Go to the Insert tab, click Audio, and choose Record Audio.
• PowerPoint 2007: Go to the Slide Show tab, and click Record Narration.

It sounds like you've already tested your mic in Replay, we just need to make sure that your mic is communicating with PowerPoint correctly. 

Let me know if you're able to hear the narration recorded using that method.

I am working from my C drive (always). I tried recording audio in engage, quizmaker and replay and they all work.  I tried recording audio using powerpoint and it DOES NOT work. So your guess is correct.  How can I make it communicate with PowerPoint?

 I googled how to get it to connect in powerpoint and found out a few troubleshooting items that I tried.  It is not working. YEA!  Thank you for guiding me where to look.

Can you tell us what you did as we are also having numerous issues recording in Articulate 13 Presenter. I'm looking for any ideas to resolve this issue - as we are losing days and days of working time.
