I have created a course that has a YouTube video within the course. When I publish the course, it plays back just fine. However, when I email or post on my intranet, the video does not appear.
This is due to security restrictions on viewing content locally. For best results you should host your content online and share the URL with folks rather than sending the files over a local network. If you don't have access to a web server, try the steps in the below screencast:
