Articulate Presenter Quiz Frozen in LMS

I create courses in Articulate Presenter and upload it into client LMS. The courses contain engage interactions and quizzes. Recently, couple of users approached me as they faced issue while attempting quiz. The reported that, they were in the middle of taking the quiz and the screen was frozen. They tried to exit several times and even went into a new course then returned, but it won’t let them select any answer.

On the other hand, I attempted the same quiz in the LMS and did not face any issue. Also, I have never received any complaint on the other quizzes developed earlier.

Can you please help me in resolving this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Sorry to hear that some of your learners are hitting a wall, Steffi!

To help us investigate, can you please provide:

  • Which browser(s) were the learners using?
  • What version of Studio do they have?
  • Is there a particular question that seems to be triggering the screen freezing?
  • Which LMS did you upload the course into? (We're unable to troubleshoot LMS specific issues unfortunately, but some members from our community may have experienced a similar issue in the same LMS software and can provide more insight.)
  • Have you tested this file in the SCORM Cloud? (Here's a handy article on how to troubleshoot your LMS with SCORM Cloud)

Additionally, are you able to share that project file here? Or, you can send it directly to our Support Engineers here if you prefer to send it privately.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Here is the information you need.

·   Which browser(s) were the learners using? Google Chrome

·   What version of Studio do they have? I use Studio 13 for the course development. End users do not need studio as they can view the courses on LMS.

·  Is there a particular question that seems to be triggering the screen freezing?- Yes,  the quiz freezes at the same question for both the users.

·   Which LMS did you upload the course into? (We're unable to troubleshoot LMS specific issues unfortunately, but some members from our community may have experienced a similar issue in the same LMS software and can provide more insight.) The courses are uploaded into LMS ComplainceWire.

·  Have you tested this file in the SCORM Cloud? (Here's a handy article on how to troubleshoot your LMS with SCORM Cloud) No, I haven’t tested the course file in SCORM cloud yet. However, as I mentioned earlier, the course quiz works fine for me and for few other users in LMS.

It'll be difficult to sort why this is happening to a few learners, but it is interesting to note that the screen freezes on the same question for them. Can you confirm the problematic question?
