disabling auto response on quizzes

May 22, 2013

I can't seem to get rid of the auto response.  I have unchecked the box that governs it in the quiz properties and it continues to pop up.  I am doing a graded final assessment that they learner has to take over again if they get less than 70% and I want to be sure they don't know the correct answers and that they have the results screen with the retry button at the end of the quiz.

Hi Christine,  Yes the feedback prompts.  I am trying to upload the zip file, but don't think it attached.   I also just attached the power point, but don't see it either.  Let me know if they are visible on your end.   I am trying to paste in a snagged image of the Quiz properties and it won't allow that.  Under question defaults, I have uchecked Default feedback (provide feedback by default)  and it still occurs.

Hi Liz,

I do see the PPT file attached, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to view the actual quiz settings with that file. Can you share the .QUIZ file, instead? It'll be a single file that's created with Quizmaker, the file you used to insert your quiz into PowerPoint/Presenter.

In either case, if that's the content you'd like to remove, you should be able to disable any feedback from appearing when a user submits a response to a question in your Quizmaker quiz.

To do this, open your question. If you have multiple questions, you may need to adjust these settings for those questions as well.

In "Form View", select "None" from the "Feedback" drop-down menu as shown below:

After selecting this option, your users shouldn't see any feedback after clicking on "Submit". However, if the feedback is still showing, please try sharing the file with me again.

Thanks!

Christine
