Legacy Course Issues with Articulate Quizmaker in Presenter Studio 13

May 25, 2018

I have a series of courses produced back in 2016 that need updating and in a few of the questions I've chosen the "Hot Spot" to let end users select different sections of the X-Ray image pertaining to the overall course. I have 3 questions in a row with a single X-Ray Graphic and each has a "Hot Spot" associated with segments of the leg to identify correctly. In Preview all works well both in Quiz Maker and Presenter  but when publishing none of the updates are carried forward. Does anyone have an idea here? I've created over 400 LMS/SCORM units in the past 4 years and this has me stumped. Please help? Thank you, Gordo

Hi Gordo,

Are you seeing that these updates don't appear once testing your courses again in your LMS? It's possible you are accessing a cached copy of the course, so I'd want to have you check either by viewing the course incognito/private browsing mode or look at uploading it to another site such as SCORM Cloud. That'll help confirm if it's the course not updating or the LMS before you proceed!

Hi Ashley, you were exactly right and just before I read your email and post I did exactly as you've outlined and all is good again. I have other courses to update and will do the same with them too. I've established a SCORM Could account and tried the newly minted LMS in it for additional proofing and once again all is good. Thank you and great support...Gordo

Hi Ashley, I have a question regarding Cached Copy of a Course. Is there a place with in the Presenter Studio 13 Application that I can go to purge all cached courses? This would be a good way to refresh everything as I'm working on other legacy courses with client providing updates.

Thank you, Gordo...

Hi Gordo,

Great question. The cached version is within the browser itself, and will be different for each user even! You could also take a look at uploading a new version to your LMS, versus overwriting a previously shared version. This would impact your tracking and reporting data, but would consistently show a user the latest version of your course.
