Question-level reporting & Question Pools

Sep 05, 2017

Hi Everyone,

I am creating an online exam in Storyline 2 and I was wondering if anyone knew if Storyline 2 has question-level reporting and/or the ability to pull questions from a "question pool"?

Examples:

Question-level reporting: the ability for course to show me exactly which questions were missed by the learner

Question pool: the ability to ask 10 random questions from a pool of 25 questions

Thank you!

Tania

Hi Tania!  Great questions.  In short, yes, and yes!  😃

Question level reporting:  When you publish your course for, and host it in a Learning Management System, Storyline will report quiz data to your LMS for interpreting.  Make sure you include a results slide that tallies up your questions.  Tip:  To get full question text, use SCORM 2004.

Question pool:  Storyline lets you create question banks from which you can draw as many questions as you like, randomly if you like!  Here's a series of articles from our User Guide on working with question banks.

I hope that helps!

Hi Tania,

On the results slide in your course you'll see the total score, and Storyline will send information to the LMS indicating which questions were answered correctly or not in addition to the overall score.

I'd ask your LMS admin if there is a way to access that detail in your reports!
