Quizmaker 13 Question Counter Display
Nov 20, 2015
One of the biggest complaints we get from our test takers is there is no visible way for them to see where they are in the exam. They would like to know how many questions there are, and what number question they are on. Quizmaker 09 had a great feature for this, which I understand was not developed for the 13 version.
Is this still the case? If so, has anyone found a work around for this? Unfortunately, our exams have a large question bank, where only a set number of questions are displayed, then randomized. Because of this, the question number system will not work for us.
Thanks!

Hi Lindsey!
Yes, that is still the case. Sounds like both of our typical suggestions will not work for your situation and hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist.
If you'd like to see additional options in Quizmaker '13, please let our development team know.
For anyone else that may run across this thread, here are our typical suggestions:
The closest option would be to use the "Question List" option in the Quizmaker '13 player options. This will not number the questions, but it will give learners a better idea of where they are and how many questions there are in the quiz.
Another option would be to modify the name of the question to include a number. Of course, if you're randomizing questions, this probably won't work for your project.
Do you have groups of questions? If so, perhaps a blank slide with 1/5 done, 2/5 done, ... (nice graphics included) when using five groups would perhaps help. Just an idea, not tried out though...
Thank you for the suggestion. We do have question groups, which are randomized, so I would suspect we would need to anchor this last question slide for each group, to ensure it is always displayed, and always the last 'question' in each group. Shall give it a test. Thank you!
