Quizmaker - Internet Explorer 9 issue

Sep 18, 2012

Hello,

Has anyone experienced issues with Quizmaker and IE9?

We have a course with knowledge checks at the end of each module and a test at the end of the course.  The Quizmaker buttons function perfectly on the knowledge checks, but one of the buttons on the final test does not.  More specifically, we have set the Finish button to go to a URL.

This works perfectly on IE8, Safari and Chrome, but does not work on IE9.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Many thanks!

Kristi

Hi Kristi,

If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at this. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Thanks!

Hi Simo!

We never got a chance to look into Kristi's specific issue, but it sounds like it could be an issue with testing the course locally, rather than testing it in the environment for which it is intended, i.e. web, LMS, CD. Have you tried testing the course after uploading it to your intended environment? Otherwise, Flash and browser security restrictions may prevent the link from opening.

Hey Simo!

When you publish your Articulate content for web, you'll need a web server or a web hosting service to distribute your content online.  If you don't have access to a web server, Amazon S3 and Dropbox are popular, free options. Then simply upload your published output to your account, and give your users the link to your online course.

Or, you could simply publish your course to CD and run the exe file from your local computer.

Thanks Pat,

We do have our server which hosts our LMS. The issue lies within IE9. We have tested it on other browsers and earlier versions, it worked ok.

On a seperate topic, I am having problems with documents I have hyperlinked, how can we ensure and double check that these documents actualy pull through with the presentation. I even added them as part of the attachements and the hyperlinks still dont seem to work.
