I want to set up a quiz so the user can take it multiple times but not while still in the course. I know I can set it up for them to take it more than once but I don't want them to be able to review the answers and then just take the quiz again while they're still in the course. At a minimum, is there a way to turn off the 'review quiz' button within the template somewhere? I can't seem to find it.
You should be able to disable the Quizmaker Review option in both the Pass and Fail feedback sections. Along the top of Quizmaker, click on either "Pass Result" or "Fail Result".
A new window will open up with your feedback options. To disable the Review feature, un-check "Allow user to review quiz".
If you want to keep the user from seeing any Review information, make sure you remove this option from both "Pass Result" and "Fail Result".
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
So another question. Is there a way to set up the quiz so they can take the quiz multiple times but NOT show the 'Retry quiz' button? We want them to exit the course and review more materials before coming back into course and taking the quiz again. We've provided them instructions on the 'fail' screen but with the 'retry quiz' button they may just stay in the course and retake the quiz until they pass. That would be easy to do since there is only 8 questions. Let me know... Thanks.
You can set the number of attempts allowed, but this will be tied to the quiz while it's active. So, they could just keep trying to submit an answer until they get it right.
Quick question; Are you running the quiz standalone, or are you inserting it into a Presenter presentation?
There is one thing you could try, that may work for you. In Quizmaker, set the amount of attempts in the question itself to "1" or whatever limit you'd like to use for that one instance of the course. Then, after you've saved and returned, in Presenter, click on "Properties" in the quiz slide. Here you can adjust the attempts as well. I believe if you set it to unlimited here, the user should be able to return to the course and take the quiz again.
Can you give that a try and let me know how it goes? If it doesn't work, I can do a little testing and see what I find.
Not gonna work. When I went into the questions they're already set to 1 and the course is set to 5 attempts. I don't think unlimited vs 5 will make a difference. Bummer... your answer sounded good though. Any other thoughts?

Inserted inside an Articulate course that will be published on a LearnCenter LMS.
Hi Mikki,
Great, thanks for the info

You can remove the Retry Quiz button. Here's how.
