Strange after-image after a quiz

Mar 30, 2018

Hello,

I am experiencing the following problem in several of my Studio 360 presentations. After a Quizmaker slide, during the transition to the next slide, a strange enlarged image of the quiz slide appears for a nano second. I have even deleted the quizzes and rebuilt them and the problem remains.

I would attach a file that contains an example but I'm not sure how to publish it to this form.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, Nina. Really sorry you're seeing that random, enlarged image in several of your projects. Do you see it when in Preview mode, after publishing the project, or in both cases?

I'm also happy to dig into that file – here's a simple guide on how to create an Articulate Package, and here's a quick visual on how to attach it to this thread:

Thanks for sharing your project with me, Nina ☺️

After some testing, I found that this issue relates to an existing bug where a quiz slide will flash before loading the PowerPoint slide (in the HTML5 output) – so I'm really glad you reached out! I've attached your thread to the report, and will keep you posted on its progress here.

A current workaround would be to enable a Results Slide for the quiz– here's a quick Peek how! I wasn't able to recreate any flashing/image appearing after.

Have a try, and let me know if you still see any odd behavior after. I'll be standing by!

Hi Katie,

Thanks. Glad to know this isn't just because of something I did.

Are you suggesting that I add a results slide? I purposely wasn't using one because this is just a one-off exercise and I don't want any scores showing. Or is there a way to add a results slide (to avoid the after-image) but have it somehow not show up (like have it totally black and auto advance to the next actual slide)? Can you explain this  suggestion further?

Sorry for my confusion,
Nina

No sorry necessary, Nina! We appreciate you working through this with us ☺️

In this case, one idea might be to uncheck all of the boxes in the Success Options section. That way the Results Slide will be a blank canvas where you could even add some simple text like

Thanks for completing the exercise! Let’s move on to the next section!

Here's a quick Peek to show you my process! I hope that helps, and let me know if you have any more questions!
