Audio quality

Mar 14, 2014

Hello,

Is anyone else having an issue with the audio quality when they record screens with Replay? My audio clips have a "crackling" sound to them. I've tried different microphones and it doesn't make a difference.

It's strange because I can use the exact same setup in Storyline to record a screen and it sounds great. I also don't have any issues with Audacity or any of the other software packages that I use,

I checked to make sure all of my audio drivers are up-to-date and everything checks out,

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks!

Tim

I have a similar issue, but rather than recording a VO from within Replay, I imported my audio (which was clean).  When exporting, artefacts were introduced and what sounds like very low bit rate audio.  There are no audio export options that I can see, and I need to control the level of compression, so my workflow will be:

  1. import audio to use as a reference for editing the video
  2. record and edit video
  3. export video only (no audio)
  4. import video along with the original clean audio into a video editor
  5. final export from video editor

A bit messy but it'll do for now until there are improvements.
