Jun 13, 2014

How can I change the dimensions of the video in replay? The Replay files were supplied to me, I need add them to a storyline project and the dimensions are not the same.

Hi Lori,

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

If I understand correctly, you're importing Replay videos into Storyline, but I'm guessing the videos are too large. Is that correct?

You can crop imported videos using the Video Editor in Storyline to crop, trim and edit your videos:

Please let me know if you have any trouble with this, or any questions.

HI Lori,

Ahhh, I see - that make sense :)

It might be a good idea to modify the size outside of Replay first, then insert the video. There's a couple of ways you can do this, but I'm not sure what products you're using.

One option would be to contact the original creator of the video and ask them to scale it down in the original program used to create the videos.

Another option would be to use either a video editing program, Storyline or even Presenter '13.

- From your second post, you're using Storyline. You could import the video into Storyline and use the Video Editor to scale the video. It may not work the same as a dedicated video editing software, but might help with the fuzziness :) Plus, the crop tool here might work really well for what you're wanting to do.

Also, can you share a little more detail on the HTML5 issue, please? How are you viewing it when this happens (PC, iPad, what web browser, etc.)? Also, are you referring to text boxes that scroll or in-slide content?

Thanks!
