I am able to drag the the orange timeline bar and open space to add a slide at the start, but I want to cut a smart part only from the beginning of the clip. What am I missing?? I can clip small part off the end that I need.
Hi Craig! I assume you are referring to adjusting the objects as shown in this tutorial. If you are having trouble locating this, perhaps if you put the clip in place first and rearrange if needed, then you will be able to see the adjustment line.

If you continue to have difficulty, you may consider a repair to your Replay software.
