Precise control of timeline selections in Replay

Mar 25, 2020

I'm trying to edit a video I created in Replay.  There are a couple of places where I need to cut very small portions of the recording because of extraneous sounds or because I messed up my recording.  I can't find a way to precisely control my selections.  When I drag the markers the selection is larger than what I want to cut.  Is there a way to manually enter the beginning time and ending time of the part I want to cut?

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reaching out! It looks like you can only drag to select parts of the media you're trying to delete.

This user guide covers the many ways you can edit media, but they all include dragging as the method. This video tutorial covers those same options as well and may provide additional insight. Take a look and see if it helps!

I figured it out! You can use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in on the timeline. When you do that the timeline stretches and the time increments stretch as well. You can then drag the markers and select segments very precisely.
