To clarify, after conducting your recording the overall size of the recording has expanded capturing elements you did not want to include, and is also recording elements on the left side of the screen or is appearing only on the left side of the staging area while working in Replay? I'd suggest to begin with the repair of Replay detailed here and you'll also want to make sure you have the DirectX 3D acceleration enabled as described in this article.
Hi Ashley, i am having the same exact problem as the original poster. I have tried both of your suggested fixes and am still having the same issue. I was very careful to follow each step...i have now uninstalled, deleted all registry keys, and reinstalled multiple times and it still does not fix the issue.I have also verified that the DirectX 3D Acceleration is enabled.
A couple other things to note that may help:
This issue occurs only when my cpu set to it's native resolution (1920x1080)...if i change my resolution to say 1366x768 or 1600x900 then the problem (screen shifting) does not happen. Werid...
This is a new issue...i have previously made recordings where this problem did not occur. The only thing that i can think of that i have changed on my system between then and now is that i have upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1...
I'm not sure if this info may be helpful in diagnosing the problem or aide in recreation of the problem but I figure the more info you have the better. Any suggestions that you may have would be very much appreciated. If there are any questions that I could answer that could help with your diagnosis, please let me know. Thanks!
Since upgrading to Windows 8.1 did you conduct the repair steps detailed here?
I looked into the resolution issue a bit further, and I see that it's something another user reported as well to our Support team. I don't yet see an update on if there was a particular resolution or setting our team suggested changing, but I'll share this thread with the Quality Assurance team who is looking into it to let them know that another user is experiencing the issue. In the meantime, if you're able to record at a the smaller setting (at 100% DPI or lower) seems to be the current workaround.
