4:3 to 16:9 changes

Aug 19, 2021

Good morning,

I noticed the default slide setting is the 4:3 ratio and I have to manually set every new project I make to 16:9. If I forget to do this, the ratios are horribly off and I have redo most of the project. Is there a way to add an option to let me choose the default aspect ratio that my storyline will use, and if not, could one be implemented?

Also, not sure if this is expected behavior or why, but when I changed from 4:3 to 16:9, any shapes I have typed in instantly become full thickness border length, very strange. Any insight into this would be appreciated!

Hi Kory,

The ability to set your default story size is a feature request that we are currently tracking. I've added this conversation so that we can share updates with you here.

I would like to understand the behavior with the shapes that you mentioned above. Could you share the step-by-step instructions for replicating or share a .story file in 4:3 format for me to convert?

Hello Kory,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few new features, enhancements, and fixes you'll see in the release notes.

The item you'll be interested in is:

New: Create courses faster by changing the default slide dimensions for new projects.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. You can find all of the details here.
