Friends: I've got 7 storyline modules on a DVD. I'd like my users to be able to move from one file to another seamlessly. Is there a trigger I can embed on the last slide of one story that takes the user to the first slide of the next story on the DVD? much obliged, dg
There is not built in functionality within Storyline to link projects to one another. You're welcome to share your thoughts in the form of a feature request.
Our work-around is to create a giant file with all seven mods in one. That way, when users pop in their DVD, the whole slide show runs. The challenge is cutting and pasting the individual slides; as functionality breaks when you do that. Otherwise, I've enjoyed using AS and hope my company invests more in e-Learning. Thx.
You might consider Autoplay from Indigo Rose. You can use it to create a master menu of the different modules and it includes a scripting language that I believe will allow you to set triggers that will open a new module upon the close of an old one. I have found it to be great when working in a CD/DVD medium.
