I am building my first complete eLearning with Storyline and realized that there is no option for a pause if someone has to stop the course during a demonstration or while a screen is playing and return to it. I do have it set so that they can return to previous slide, but was wondering if a pause button can be built using a state change? If so, how would this be done? Thanks!
You can also do this without having to use states and just by creating a basic javascript which starts when the timeline starts. Happy to post if anyone wants it.
After publishing your course, copy this file into the story_content folder of your published course. This will allow you to pause any presentation via a custom button on the playbar.
I inserted your frame.xml file into the story content and it gave me a Pause button but it changed my player. How can I fix it to show the entire slide?
Open the file in notepad and search for title_text. You can then change the value from what its currently set at to whatever you like. Make sure the text stays between the "xxxxx"
Will provide some more like player settings when I get a moment

How do I create a Pause button if it's screen cast? View Mode. I did a trigger and the button doesn't seem to pause the screen fast enough.

You need to change the additional information in the XML file. Open the file in notepad, find the information you wish to change and you're done!
There is also code for the controls in the XML file.
