Accessibility Issue with Screen Reader

Nov 30, 2020

Hi,

I am using Windows 10 Screen Reader to check the focus order of my Storyline 3.11 courses.

With the latest updates, it is not allowing me to navigate through the text boxes with the arrows keys.

On Edge: Published files on Edge, is still sometimes taking Caps lock + Arrow keys to navigate through - BUT, on Google Chrome the same commands are not working.

Could anyone please help with suggestions how to effectively using Screen reader with Key board commands on Storyline 3.11 courses?

Hi Kaustuv!

Are you using the keyboard commands for Narrator? Narrator uses different keyboard commands than JAWS and NVDA. Here are the keyboard commands for Narrator from Deque.

You'll also see on that webpage that Edge is the preferred browser when using Narrator. Do you mind testing the project in Edge using the Narrator keyboard shortcuts? If your learners are mostly using Chrome, then I'd recommend using either JAWS or NVDA.
