I am a building a tutorial on how to fill an online application form (how to file a patent application).
I am considering using a step-by-step screen recording (using view mode step by step slides) and will edit the automatic captions that are created to reflect the content we we want to use.
For accessibility, like JAWS and screen readers, what would work best: the captions created from the screen recording, or do a one-take video and add closed captions using the built-in editor?
I would suggest adding closed captions using the built-in editor so that people have the option to turn off the captions if they do not need them. If you're outputting an mp4 with captions already built in, it might alienate another part of your audience that does not want them.
