Hello - I am working on a technical e-learning project. To create a step by step procedural with notes (to be narrated), I had hoped that each layer could have its own unique set of notes. It appears it cannot.
Sure, I can type in notes in the notes section of each layer, however, the last layer of notes (because they have overwritten the previous layers and base layer notes) are the only notes I can see during preview.
Since layers exist as a part of the slide, the notes are the same throughout. If you'd need to have separate notes you may want to look at splitting the slides layers up into their own individual slides to make that element easier.
I have a base with 10 buttons (which have policy descriptions behind) and wanted to have unique 'note' for each. Making 10 sep screens is not an option for this project :-(
You won't' be able to use the built in notes to show different things all on the same slide, but perhaps you'd want to look at showing the notes on a layer associated with that slide and have it set up the show the layer based on the button the user clicks?
I solved this by adding a button on each of my slide layers with a link to a 'light box' pop up overlay. that way, if they want to view the text associated with each layer they can. I can also track based on the state of the button if they viewed the text or not allowing me to add conditions to the behaviour of the next button based on the state - if they MUST view the policy they can't move forward until they click the button (I don't really like doing that though)
I know it's a long time since you posted this, but perhaps it will help for the future.
Thanks for popping in to share Jacqueline :) Even if it does not assist Loretta - it could certainly assist someone that runs across this thread in the future.
Another option is to create a button on the layer, then to add a layer to that button and in that layer have an exit or close button. Copy and paste this then into the slides with layers, where you need to have it.

I"m encountering the same issue.
