Advancing to a new slide only after visiting other slides

Apr 06, 2016

I have a story where I would like the learner to advance to an "ending slide" only after he has visited other slides (non-linear). Like in a game, you can only complete only after you have finish all tasks.

This was the closest help I could find, but I got lost once I am at the variables.

I have also created a "Trap" layer off the first slide, such that if the learner clicks on Presentation before completing the 6 tasks, they will see that layer. Can anyone please help, or have any suggestions? Attaching the cropped file below. Thank you in advance.

Hi Sally

I have updated your story file - see if this is what you are after.

I added 6 new t/f variables one for each of the blue boxes.

I added a trigger on each of the 6 slides to set the variable to true when the timeline starts.

I added triggers on the main slide:

  • to disable your next button until all the variables were true
  • enable your next button when all variables were true
  • show the 'trap' layer when the presentation button was

Let me know if this helps
