Advice on additional tools for purchase
May 01, 2014
Good morning!
We have been using Storyline for about 7 months now and I am definitely not an expert in using the software to its full capacity. Most has been learned through trial and error. I am hoping to get into a more formal training class, but that may not happen until later in the year.
I do feel that we could use some additional tools to make our courses more robust - like stock photography, graphics (especially healthcare-related, since we are a large hospital system), production tools, etc.
This is the time to make a list of wishes, since we're working on next year's budget. What are some of your favorite tools for further enhancing your courses in Storyline?
One thing I will mention is that we are limited in our ability to push out many courses with sound or video, due to restrictions on many computers in patient care areas. I'd love some video/audio related tools, but probably not imperative due to the current restrictions.
Thanks for any suggestions!!!

Hi Kari,
I hear you re the A/V restrictions in patient care areas, but still wanted to share with you for those instances in which you can take advantage.
For audio, I love Audacity, and it's free.
For video, Replay comes with your purchase of Storyline. And my go-to tool is Camtasia Studio.
