Articulate Teams Question

Nov 30, 2018

As I'm sure decision-makers at Articulate are aware, many of the instructional designers who subscribe to the Articulate 360 suite of tools are independent consultants and freelancers. As such, we often find ourselves working for a client together with other consultants, each of us with our own Articulate subscription. Since our working relationship is based on a single contract or project, none of us, not even our client, is interested in buying the 'team subscription', we simply need to share templated slides, slides that are common to all the courses we need to develop for our client in SL360 primarily. Is there some way we can do that within Articulate 360 without a 'team subscription'.  If so, please share.  If not, please consider creating this facility for those of us who make up a very large percentage of your subscribers. I look forward to a reply soon, so my co-consultants and I can benefit on the contract we are currently working on.  Thanks!

Sharing story files works the same way it's always worked. So you should have no problems working on courses and sharing with your clients.

You can save the Storyline file as a template. When you share that with your client, it will load in their templates folder. You can also find the templates folder in the mydocs>articulate projects folder. The templates will be available anytime they open Storyline.

Obviously, team accounts offer some additional benefits, but if you don't want that type of account you can meet your needs using the approach above.

I know some freelancers who have teams accounts and assign seats to the client while they work for them and charge back that cost to the client. Or the client gets the team account for the contractor. Those are two additional options.
