After Publishing unable to play Youtube Channel embedded videos.

Aug 07, 2013

Hi,

I am working on Articulate.Storyline.

When I publish it with an embedded video from Youtube, the video is only played in html5 document and I am unable to play it in html document. Is this a bug which has to be shorted out by the Software team or I am doing something wrong somewhere.

Or can any one tell me a way, so that the video can be played in html document. I am asking this because in earlier modules which I had published, I inserted the videos in the modules. But in my upcoming Modules I am embedding videos through Youtube Channel.

So, Guys I would most appreciate your suggestions/tips at this time.

Thank you for Helping out.

Embedding and playing a YouTube video in Flash/HTML should not be an issue at all. Here is one Flash/HTML sample with embedded videos. Here is some info on embedding YouTube videos.

Hi,

Sorry to bother you guys again.

The method which is shown here I tried that, but still video is not coming in html output when I paste the the Url from youtube.

Can you share me .storyfile, some more videos and anything by which I can play the video in html output.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Leslie,

Okay, I followed all the steps which Michael told. I choose video from site option as above told in Michaels link. Now the problem: video is only played when I open the output in Firefox or Internet Explorer but not in Google Chrome Browser.

Can you tell me, browser is not compatible with Articulate or vice-versa.

Thank You for asking and helping me out.

Hi Vaibhav! I cannot view a link to your local content. Please check out this article about publishing and sharing your Storyline content and perhaps you can upload to Dropbox and share the link with me. You always want to be sure that you are testing your content in the intended environment, so that may also be why you have inconsistencies in your testing. How will you be sharing this with your learners?
