I work for an agency that uses SL1. They currently have no immediate plans to upgrade to SL2.
I would like to start working from home in the future, and if I decide to do this I will have to purchase Storyline for myself...however, this is impossible because I would have to purchase SL2, and any work I do would be unusable for my employer as long as they are in SL1.
This is disappointing and frustrating to say the least. Is there any chance a feature will be added to allow SL2 to save down to SL1 format? Most of the other applications I use can do this. Would it help if I submitted a feature request?
You can definitely share your thoughts in the form of a feature request - but there are different features in SL2 and therefore a different version of the software, so the likelihood of being able to "save down" would break a lot of functionality of SL2.
In regards to using it at home, your license does allow you to install Storyline on two computers, such as a home and work computer. You can download SL1 here and you'd just need to have your serial number.
