Arial Font looks terrible on certain monitors- Any suggestions?

Aug 22, 2012

I uploaded my courses to CUNA CPD Online (our LMS) and on certain monitors the font looks terrible.  On my computer it looks great!  I have the story size set to 720x540 (the default) and the Player settings set to Resize to optimal for Brower and Scale to fit window for Player.  The monitors that look terrible are set to a 1024x768 resolution.  My IT department isn't much help, any suggestions.  I've attached a screenshot so you can see what I'm referring to...

I've also reached out to CUNA to see what their setting for the courseds are as they use Articulate as well and their courses look fine.

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

I changed the player settings, and increased the published quality to 100%.  Through several days of testing we have figured out the issue occurs when the courses are access through CITRIX.  Does anyone know any possible solutions apparently our Wyse boxes (non PC computers) must go through CITRIX to access the courses.

I encountered this same problem. One thing you might try is right-clicking on the course when it is playing in Citrix - you will see a popup menu. Select Quality and change the setting to high.  For some reason Citrix sets the quality to low I guess to limit bandwidth. This will correct the problem. But unfortunately users will have to do this each time they access the course because the setting does not stick so you might want to put some instructions someplace to tell them what to do.
