With your suggestion button is active from the start.
That's not what I see when I preview the file with the changed trigger...the button remains disabled until both 01 and 02 have been clicked - see Peek video
By menu items do you mean 01 and 02 on the slide or something else?

change the trigger to 'when timeline starts' not when variable changes

You've removed the conditions in the trigger - see my image above
It's the original trigger you had except change 'when variable changes' to 'when timeline starts'
