I'm having trouble adding triggers to objects and noticed that I have an asterisk after "story(*)" in my file name. This doesn't appear in previous courses I've built. I have a sinking feeling that my software is corrupt.
My story projects have an asterisk after the file name when I've changed something, and haven't yet saved the changes. To me, it is kind of a reminder to save often.

Not sure about this but it might be worth taking the * out as non standard characters have caused many a odd problem in the past.

If you are having issues with adding triggers, please confirm you are working locally as described here. Also, you may want to follow the steps listed here.
I've done it all. Work locally, unexpected behavior repair, uninstall and
re-install software...
Nothing is working.

Thanks to the earlier reply from Melanie, it does mean I've made a change and have to save.
