I just edited my audio using the Articular Audio Editor found in Storyline. When I listen to the audio using Audio Editor, it was fine. However, when I previewed it, the audio did not change. It was playing the original audio file.
I've had the same thing happen. Usually I need to exit Storyline and restart it in order to get it working properly. It's annoying when it happens, but fortunately, it's only once in a great while, at least for me.
I exited and restarted Storyline, but it still did not work :( Any other ideas?
I would change the original audio file outside of Storyline, but I do not know where the file is. The creator of the online lesson is no longer working at my organization.
I DO need to Re-edit the audio after the restart or reboot. That is, if I made the edit and it didn't "take" while listening in Preview, I have to restart SL or reboot the computer and restart SL and THEN go in and edit the audio again. This has always fixed it for me. Although I DO have access to the source files, I've not had to go outside SL to fix things.
If a reboot and re-edit doesn't work for you, please post back and I imagine staff will help you to create a support case (unless someone has some other ideas!).
I'm sorry to hear about the behavior with your files, and as Rebecca mentions the full reboot may help resolve the behavior. You'll also want to confirm that you're working with your project files as described here:
You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
You'll also want to check that you're editing the audio files as shown here.
Also, is it just this one file with the audio that is having difficulty or all your Storyline files with audio? If it's just this one, you may also want to look into importing it into a new Storyline project. If it's happening across all your files, you may also want to look at conducting the repair of Storyline detailed here.

So, two things.
One, try a complete reboot.
Two:
I DO need to Re-edit the audio after the restart or reboot. That is, if I made the edit and it didn't "take" while listening in Preview, I have to restart SL or reboot the computer and restart SL and THEN go in and edit the audio again.
