anyone help with "audio editor"? it launches, fine with all functions EXCEPT when you "play" the audio in the audio editor window, there is no sound. However, when playing the sound on the timeline, the sound plays fine. Can anyone help?
In my case, sound doesn't play on timeline and in preview. It plays ok in audio editor and when published. Our IT followed the repairing steps described above but the problem is still there. Please help. Part of the file is attached.
It appears that the latest Flash update 27 (although there is now a new version 27 in Beta) changed how the audio settings would work for Flash playback. The timeline preview in all versions of Storyline is Flash-based.

Have you looked into repairing Storyline as described here as that sounds unusual?

It appears that the latest Flash update 27 (although there is now a new version 27 in Beta) changed how the audio settings would work for Flash playback. The timeline preview in all versions of Storyline is Flash-based.
We've detailed some steps here on how to fix this for Flash, and this is a behavior our team is still looking at fixing in Storyline so that you won't run into it again.
