Audio Missing After Import/Copy/Paste

May 01, 2017

Please help! I have tried everything to fix this. I have a project with multiple branches and 289 slides. There is a lot of duplicated content so at first I copy/pasted the slides and that produced sort of phantom audio files that looked like they were there but wouldn't play and if you opened the audio editor the program locked up.

Once I realized the problem, I imported the slides with the audio and organized them as they should be, only to find that when I opened the file that i created to fix the original problem, the phantom audio was back. This is inconsistent and doesn't seem to have rhyme or reason. Can someone help!?!?

Hi Tiffany,

I'm glad you reached out here! I can help. 🙂

Is it possible that you’re working from somewhere other than your local C: drive?  Working from a network drive or a USB drive can cause a few different problems, so you'll want to save your project to your local drive if you haven't already.

Also, you mentioned that you imported the slides with the audio. Can you tell me more about that? Did you import the slides to a new file?
