I could use a little help from those of you who have been working with audio. I have recorded audio into my Storyline 2 project using the insert audio button. The audio plays fine on all of the main screens however it does not play on any of the layer screens. The audio shows as being there on the timeline but no sound when the layer is opened.
Thank you for your help. I'm sure it is the way the file is set-up but not sure how to correct it :) ... Anyway, the audio that is encoded on the slide layers attached to screens 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.6 and 2.7 doesn't play.
looking at your file slide 2.2 I can't see where you are triggering to show any of the layers on that slide that have audio. The only trigger I see is to show 'terms' which doesn't have audio and only has a 'hide layer' trigger. How should the user be getting to all these other layers?
Thank you! I got it now. My first time adding audio and I knew it was something I wasn't doing right. In this case a very simple something! :) Thank you Leslie!

Hi Connie
can you share the story file - it's hard to say without seeing how your file is setup.
Hi Wendy,

Hello Connie - Let's take a look at two of your slides as a sample:
2.2 - The audio plays on the slide, then there is only a trigger to show the Terms layer.
That layer does not have any audio to play.
2.3 - No audio on base slide
Layers have no audio either:
So, that could certainly be why you are not hearing audio.

Sorry Leslie - didn't refresh my screen before I posted

Thank you Wendy! Great explanation and I really appreciate it. In the beginning it's the most basic of skills! :)
No problem Connie - shout out if you need any more help and good luck with your project!
So glad that was able to help you Connie :)
